I was overweight, out of shape, and a little nervous on my first visit to Synergy Fitness Studio. I didn’t belong to a gym and hadn’t worked out consistently in years. After walking in, I quickly realized there is nothing at all intimidating about this place. Chris and Michael are the two trainers – very knowledgeable and friendly. They are always willing to help out, whether it’s a question about a specific exercise, or offering excellent advice about diet & nutrition. The class sizes are very small and include all types of people - students to grandmothers and everything in between. The class times are extremely flexible too – arrive 5 minutes before the start, follow the workout routine for the day, and get a great full body workout in less than an hour. I’ve been working out at Synergy Fitness Studio now for about 6 months, have lost 25 lbs., and feel great. This place has a very friendly, laid-back vibe that I would highly recommend to anyone trying to get in shape, stay in shape, or take their fitness to the next level. - Steve Sopyla
The format at Synergy Fitness is fantastic. Chris does an outstanding job of creating the exercises for the 7 stations for the workout. Just when you think you cannot do one more here comes Chris to cheer you on. I love the interaction with him both as a trainer and a person. Synergy Fitness has not only aided me in my workouts but has started me down a healthy path in my life (without making me feel bad about my choices). Synergy Fitness is an important part of my healthy, balanced lifestyle. A year ago, I was able to lose 10-12 lbs with diet and exercise and have been able to keep it off with disciplined attendance at Synergy. In addition, by working out an average of 3x each week, I have been able to build muscle and tone and shape my body (not an easy task for a middle-aged male). The workouts at Synergy are always varied, so there is never a chance of becoming bored with the same routine. The recent addition of rowing machines has taken the workout over the top. Synergy offers both morning and afternoon/evening classes and you can tailor the day/time to your schedule, including when the unpredictable happens. Signing up for classes is easily done on-line on a day-by-day basis. The clientele at Synergy is a diverse mix of ages, sexes, and body shapes, all focused on being our healthiest best. From law students to recent retirees, from working professionals to soccer Moms, everyone should feel welcome and comfortable at Synergy. - John Keeling
The 'Spears Challenge' in my book is a lifestyle eating plan. As an avid runner, workout enthusiast, and overall healthy eater, I never counted my daily intake of calories. I also don't believe in diets. It was amazing to learn how much I was consuming. With the two-day, low-cal plan, those extra few pounds were quickly gone. With the combination of a change in my eating habits for two days, Chris's healthy tips, and his small personal training classes, I lost 3% of body fat and almost 10 pounds in a month! "I love the program at Spears Fitness! The class size is small (not more than 6) and you receive the benefits of a personal trainer. I am not getting lost in a large fitness class of 20 to 30 people. The trainers makes sure that we are performing the exercises correctly so that we are getting the desired results. They encourage and challenge each class member during the workout session. It is fun working out with other people that share the same goals and/or challenges of getting in shape, losing inches or weight. "I have really enjoyed my experience at Spears Fitness. I appreciate the individual attention and guidance. The trainer goes the extra mile to help you with your diet, as well as an exercise regimen, which is something you don't always get. My experience with 24-Hour fitness was maybe 1/2 as helpful in regards to the fitness portion and they wouldn't even answer any questions about my diet. Plus the price is undoubtedly the best in town. Overall, if you stick to the plan and guidelines you will lose weight and tone up. I would say it was WELL worth it!! "I have worked out with Chris and his staff for a little over a year. The small group workouts are very effective and much more personal than the traditional gym setting.
